Book Review
Records of the Four Tipperary Septs The O'Kennedys, O'Dwyers,
O'Mulryans, O'Meaghers.
In an attempt to identify accurate source
materials, we (members of Clan Kennedy Association) first
locate materials written with the Kennedys / O'Kennedys as a subject matter. Then as an attempt to
verify the information we try to cross reference the source materials, and locate independent reviews
of the material(s). We have performed a book reveiw search of "Records of the Four Septs" By: Martin Callanan
. Using Google as a method of internet search,
using the search term: " review Four Tipperary septs" , "Records of the Four Tipperary Septs"
In the top fifteen pages we located one review of this
title. Some results produced descriptive content. However, most produced direct sales, or storefronts/bookstores
that offered the title.
The following are the top results:

After having read
this book we (members of the Clan Kennedy Association) do,
agree that this is a more detailed view of information concerning the O'Kennedys of Ormond, as a source material in the study of the Irish Kennedys;
this title is a valuable collectable, and a well researched look at the O'Kennedy history.
This book contains a view of genealogy, Annals, Fiants, Inquistions, The Down Survey and book of Distribution.
It offers more information concerning the Kennedy families of the area between before 1169 to the end of the 17th century.
This book is not as easily found and is expensive
to purchase. It is worth the purchase.
This book, contains information about four different septs;
in 180 pages, however, the Kennedy information begins with the introduction and goes thru page 55.
In Review, If a student, historian, researcher, or teacher were in search of a
source material that touches specific aspects of the O'Kennedys of Ormond, this title, would be that book/study material.
There is a question as to when the Kennedys moved into Ormond but the record shows them as Lords as early as 1159.
