PREFACE
This website
will refer to histories, notes, books, pedigrees, titles and the
like of persons of the Kennedy surname. As source materials come from
many origins - the spelling(s) of the surname may be different from
those you (the reader) are used to. Remember the are about 130
different ways to spell the name.
During the
establishment of this website and the Clan Kennedy Association, it
was discovered that there are multiple sources of information
pertaining to the O'Cinniede / Kennedy histories. Most seem to be
adaptations of only a few learned sources.
It is the nature of the
family surname/genealogy/heritage catagory that the information often
comes from historical references and histories that are of an unverified source
or publication. It is usually a necessity to reference and cross reference source
materials in an objective attempt to verify the information. Not all scholars,
researchers , students or historians will agree on the accuracy of the information.

contained within this website is a compilation of independant
sources, many passed on word of mouth or by coorespondance with
holders of said information. All known copyright notices will be
observed. If source materials used that are accompanied by
