The O'Kennedys Treaty of Ormonde.
In an attempt to identify accurate source
materials, we (members of Clan Kennedy Association) first
locate materials written with the Kennedys / O'Kennedys as a subject matter. Then as an attempt to
verify the information we try to cross reference the source materials, and locate independent reviews
of the material(s). We have currently performing a book reveiw search of "The O'Kennedy Treaty of Ormonde"
. Using Google as a method of internet search,
using the search term: " review the O'Kennedy Treaty" , "Kennedys Treaties", Treaties of Ormonde"
The top results will be posted at a time yet to be
determined.
After having read
this contract between the Butlers and the O'Kennedys, we (members of the Clan Kennedy Association)
will make a decision as to its importance and relevance to our group as a whole.
This treaty/paper/contract
has been sent for, from the Butler Society.
In Review, If a student, historian, researcher, or teacher
were in search of a source material that touches on the economic profile and specific aspects concerning the finanicial
standing of the land holding, military strengths, etc., of the O'Kennedys of Ormond, this treaty, will be of great interest.
