Clan Kennedy Association News
The Clan Kennedy Association
was founded in 2003, and
number several hundred members. The Association has grown continously since the website
www.clankennedy.org
was posted ( it is growing in content as well ). There are members in 46 states of the US, Argentina,
Austria, Australia,
Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Canada, the United Kingdom, Barbados, Brazil, South Africa, and Ireland.
The Ua Cinneide Clan is Officially Recognized! by the Clans of Ireland, LTD.

Ua Cinneide Clans of Ireland.

Irish Septs Association .

The Clan Kennedy Association is now several hundreds strong, and with that, there is a large contingient
of Kennedy musicians, a large variety of musical tastes and talents. We have decided to offer a selection
of music to Kennedys by Kennedys. CDbaby.com has what we believe to be a grand searchable database,
The Kennedy Association now makes it easy to find Kennedy music, via that database. Remember this
database is not limited to Kennedys, we suggest you search other keywords as well, i.e., Irish, Scottish,
Celtic, Pipes, Fiddle, etc. ( The proceeds go toward the support of research and website upkeep.)

In keeping with our goal(s). TO PROVIDE FOR AND
ENHANCE
A PUBLIC AWARENESS OF KENNEDY HISTORIES, CULTURE, AND LORE. Several members
encourge a connection
between the Clan Kennedy Association and the Kennedy Society NA. It has come to our attention that some
members also encourage
others to join the Kennedy Society NA in an attempt to network with other Kennedys worldwide. We have
posted an
additional web page about the Kennedy Society NA.
There is no rivalry or competition between the Clan Kennedy Association and the Kennedy Society NA.
The goals of
both groups are seemingly the same. It is to be made clear to all interested in membership in both
groups.
Membership in one group does by no means exempt
the member from following the By-Laws of the group from
which that member has applied and or joined. We feel Kennedys from all points of origin,
should unite. Our histories are
somewhat fragmented because of a lack of Kennedy unity; we should make a change!
The Kennedy Society of North America members enjoy the patronage of the" Most Honourable, The Marquess
of Ailsa, Earl of Cassillis, Who is the hereditaty Chief of Kennedy" in Scotland.

The Clan of the DalgCais Of which, the Clan
O'Kennedy/Kennedy/Ua Cinneide/Cinneide is a sept.
The Dalcassians (DalgCais) are families descended from Cass.

The Heriditary
Chief of the Dalcassians
has been "The O'Brien"- Prince of Thomond, Lord Inchiquin. When the
Dalcassian Sept was created, the Clan Council voted to elect a Chairman and to request that "The O'Brien"
be
recognized as the chief. The O’Brien is still traditionally the Titular Head of the Dalcassians.
A Call For Dalcassian Support
It is with great regret that The O'Brien has had to post his statement without the mutual
agreement of Mr. Fred O'Carroll the acting Chief of the Clan Cian society, and that
Mr. O'Carroll has been stalling, it is now time for each Dalcassian Clan to support
The O'Brien and link his statement from each clan that makes-up the Clan of the
Dal gCais to the Dalcassian website.

The Clan Cian Group does not represent the Clan Kennedy
Association or the Ua Cinneide Clans of Ireland.
Although that group continues to misrepresent themselves; it is propaganda and is not factually. Although
the Clan Cian group has members named Kennedy they are in no way offically representing the Kennedy
Sept of the Dal gCais or of the Clan Kennedy Association.

Source Material Alert
Many of the research source materials authored by Gustave Anjou
(1863-1942) have now been found not to be based on fact: See:

It is believed that he (deliberately) fabriacated some genealogies in order to relate prominent colonial
families to royalty and other respected individuals.
Many other authors have based their genealogies of families Mr. Anjou falsified.
That is not to
say there
are not more unreliable records being used. Please ensure your records are not based on falsified records.
The Clan Kennedy Association would welcome any new information or histories concerning the Kennedys
(By whatever spelling)
