Irish Family Names- Kennedy (O' Cinneide)
In an attempt to identify accurate source
materials, we (members of Clan Kennedy Association) first
locate materials written with the Kennedys / O'Kennedys as a subject matter. Then as an attempt to
verify the information we try to cross reference the source materials, and locate independent reviews
of the material(s). We have performed a book reveiw search of "Irish Family Name- Kennedy-" By:Daithi O hOgain
. Using Google as a method of internet search,
using the search term: "Book review Irish Family Name Kennedy" , "Irish Kennedys", "O'Cinneide"
In the top fifteen pages we located no reviews of this
title. Some results produced descriptive content. However, most produced direct sales, or storefronts/bookstores
that offered the title.

After having read
this book we (members of the Clan Kennedy Association) do,
agree that this is a general overview of information concerning the Irish Family Name, as a source material in the study of the Irish Kennedys;
this title is a collectable. In sights from this book; Where did our family come from? Were there any famous people from
within our ancestrial group? Has history been changed as a result of the actions of members of our family group?
This book contains a brief introduction, arms, and details of the place of origin. A brief description of how to use genealogical resources.
Brief biographies of famous people who bore the surname.
It offers new, different thoughts concerning the name, but does not offer any detailed information
above or beyond other source materials we have reviewed.
This book is easily found and inexpensive to purchase. It is worth the purchase.
This book, contains 9
chapters in 64 pages, however, the Kennedy information begins on page 28 and goes thru page 62.
In Review, If a student, historian, researcher, or teacher were in search of a
source material that touches a broad aspect of the O'Kennedys Family Name, this title, would be that book/study material.
There is a question as to whether or not some information concerning the Irish Kennedys and the Scottish Kennedy has been mixed or
scrambled. It is implied within this text that the two families may be one and the same.
