'
" The Scottish - Irish Link"
The Kennedy Name is found in Ireland around 925;
in Scotland; pre-1100 (as per the Book of Deer). Then the name is in use in Scotland during the reign of William
the Lion (1165-1214).
Though our researchers have not uncovered or discovered a proven link between
the Kennedys of Ireland and those of Scotland, the majority of historical reference(s) imply or suggest the
family is of Irish Origin.
One reference simply refers to the Kennedys
as Men of Mystery.
