Reviews of Source Materials for Study and Research
In an attempt to identify accurate source
materials, we (members of Clan Kennedy Association) first
locate materials written with the Kennedys / O'Kennedys as a subject matter. As one author points out,
the tale of the Kennedys, by necessity, must be based on writings of earlier authors, who in turn based
their writings on the writings of others. Then as an attempt to
verify the information we try to cross reference the source materials, and locate independent reviews
of the material(s). We perform a book reveiw search of the title of the material(s), and the authors name, if known.
Using Google as a method of internet search, using various search terms, and keywords.
We then report the results of the top ten pages;
and the links connecting to locations to purchase the book; if any are available.
We then post the internet
address, that any interested visitors might review the information for themselves.
We then post our own review, with comments as to our opinion
concerning any recommendation(s) as to research materials. NOTE: Our opinions are not, representitivie of all members,
and should not be considered any set standard, reviews are only presented to provide for research material(s).
Included will be information about the materials, such as scope, chapters, content,
preceived value- as reseach material, references of source materials, illustrations, maps, the ISBN#, etc..
Points of interest; such as demonstrated accuracy/inaccuracy as varified thru other source materials,
for comparison purposes.
